WEST END HOUSE CAMP

The Freedom to Play

April 14, 2025

Wow, to tell my story of WEHC would take hours if not longer. I went at nine years old and didn’t know anyone. It didn’t make a difference in a matter of minutes I met friends that I still have 54 years later.
I loved it from day one. The days were very structured, but it felt like I was running everywhere and enjoying it. From the waterfront to the fields, it didn’t matter that I wasn’t a great athlete, we just all had a blast.
Time in the cabin with the counselors and your bunk mates was just as fun.
Thing I remember as being fun are sailing, rowing, playing ball, scary, funny movies in the mess hall on rainy nights and of course cake and milk.
Today, 54 years later, those friends are now some of my best friends and I’m talking about more than a couple of handfuls. Some are also my best customers today.
I have not come across a better brotherhood.

Sincerely,
Aaron Leppo
