WEST END HOUSE CAMP

Privacy Policy: Social Media & Text Messaging

At West End House Camp, the safety, privacy, and well-being of our campers and families are central
to everything we do. This policy explains how we use social media, photography, and text messaging
to communicate with families while respecting camper privacy and maintaining appropriate
boundaries.

Social Media, Photography & Video

We know how meaningful it is for families to see their child enjoying camp. Photos and videos help
parents feel connected to the camp experience while their sons are away.

• West End House Camp staff may take photos and videos of campers participating in
daily camp activities.
• These images may be shared through camp-managed platforms, including:

  • Official West End House Camp social media accounts
  • Camp websites, emails, and newsletters
  • Secure, private photo-sharing platforms for families, when used

• We are thoughtful and intentional about what we share. Images are always positive, appropriate,
and respectful.
• Campers are never identified by full name, and we do not tag campers or families on social
media.
• Staff are strictly prohibited from posting photos or videos of campers on their personal social
media accounts.

Photos and videos are used only for camp-related purposes such as family communication,
storytelling, and outreach. They are never sold or shared with outside organizations.

Parents who prefer that their child not appear in photos or videos may opt out by notifying
the camp office in writing.
